Fall Weekend Recap

This has been one busy weekend - including a bonfire in Barrington, a sleepover at my parents' house and Lucy got to visit with Nana and Papa, a trip to Goebbert's (a little chilly for pumpkin patching, so we made it a quick trip), tickets to the Notre Dame game, cheering on my dad (papa) in the Chicago Marathon (amazing dad!!) and a trip out to Chinatown so Joe could take a food tour, a Christmas gift from Rob last year.  His text was "this is amesome" while Lucy and I tried to keep busy at a local park and find a restaurant that was friendly for our plain-noodles-only girl.  Finally, tonight we took Lucy to the United Center for a event where you can meet the players and get pictures on the court, with the championship trophy, etc.  We ended up getting there too late and every line was long but Lucy was mesmerized by the pom poms (oh lord!!!) and only wanted to see the Luvabulls.

Congrats dad on an amazing marathon!! We had so much fun heading out to watch you and being part of the crowd!!! Always a fun weekend in the city.

This weekend kicks off a busy week with Joe's birthday tomorrow (Tuesday) and we leave for a weekend trip to Nashville on Thursday morning - Joe's bday gift to himself.

Just a few pics - and I have to add a pic of my dad running in a separate post because I don't have it on the camera.

Enjoying apple cider donuts

We never skip a pony ride opportunity

Derrick Rose line was really long, but Lucy was thrilled

Pom poms!
