Hey Jules

There are MANY things that make me laugh about Lucy, like how she plays with her piggy bank(s) ALL THE TIME.  She sleeps with a plastic one in her bed, carries her heavy ceramic one around the house and has him at the dinner table and tries to bring him with her to school and brushes his hair - even though her dolls with hair are all in the same room!

But, more than her love of piggy banks, nothing makes me laugh more than hearing "Hey Jules" from the top of the stairs when she needs something.  She obviously got this from Joe - and realizes she found a great way to get my attention because although I used to laugh at it, I find myself just asking her what she needs because it sounds so sweet coming from her and so much better than whining.  She still calls me "mommy" most of the time, but other times, I am just "Jules."

Our Little Goldfish

Lucy started indoor swimming lessons last week - getting her all ready for the summer so we can spend it at the pool!!! It was Lucy's first class where she has gone in without us! (Other than school.)  She was so great - I sat on a bench outside of the pool and slowly moved to the "parents area" on the other side of the glass :)  I was so happy she liked the water so much and LOVED Ms. Nicole, her teacher.  They kicked, learned to blow bubbles and how to move along the side of the wall :)

Sweet Moment.....

Lucy has moved on from reading Curious George every night to Pinkalicious and Purplicious (although I really don't like the story of Purplicious).  It is fun to see her get so excited about new books.  We had no clue she was paying attention as we read but then one day just starting reciting the book back to us :)  It makes us smile every time we see this.

Nana and Papa Marriage Blessing...and another Christmas

This weekend was a big weekend with a special blessing of Bill and Chris' marriage - followed by a Christmas day with Jill and Jake in town.  Oh, and Nana's birthday on Friday night!!! 

Bill and Chris' ceremony/reception was absolutely beautiful and it was so much fun with the family and their closest friends together for one night.  Congrats to Bill and Chris on such a special night, and hopefully there will be another blessing in 35 years from now :)  

Highlights from our weekend of celebrations (I should mention that I didn't really get a lot of photos from the marriage blessing/reception because I was busy trying to keep Lucy in the pew, and Kristy and John took about 700 of the official photographers of the night so I figured I will wait to get their photos.)
