On Saturday Jenny and Brian had their baby shower, which we so sadly were not able to stay for, but heard it was a great party and Jenny and Brian don't need to shop for a single thing before little baby Lacny's arrival this summer. We can't wait to meet him in a few months!!!! It will be one cute baby.
But, Joe and I did have a great weekend in Lake Geneva at a beautiful wedding for our friends Marissa and Mike. Marissa looked amazing (see pics below) and it was one of those weddings that you talk about for years after. We knew Lucy was in good hands with Grammy (Chris' preferred reference) and Grandpa Bill so we had a great time and weren't too sad to sleep in for once on Sunday morning. I absolutely loved it up there so spent the drive home trying to convince Joe why we need a house up there. He spent the drive home trying to convince me why we don't.
Thank you Chris and Bill for watching Lucy on Saturday!!! As always, she had a good time!!
And, Lucy is up to lots of new things these days - as I am sure every almost-10-month-old is:
- She is really into handing things to us - her paci, a toy, her food. She likes the pass game.
- She is starting to eat much larger chunks of food and moved onto 3 solid meals a day. This is in an attempt to help her gain more weight. Right now, she is in the less than 1% for weight and in the 25% for height. So, we are trying to add more cheese, oil, etc to her diet. Which is not natural for me, so I am doing my best!
- Her two bottom teeth are finally grown in! Her little two-tooth smile melts my heart every time! Now, our challenge is trying to remember to brush them.
- We are working on words like mama and dada, and although she can make the sounds, we know they aren't directed at us yet. I secretly practice mama more though :) But, I had a dream that her first words were "I'm hungry" so apparently, the doctor's advice that she needs to gain more weight really has affected me.
Hanging out with Aunt Kristy - I wish she came to visit every weekend

Uncle John is so much fun!!!
With my fun Aunt Jill and Grandpa before the shower
The Dailey Method Ladies with the beautiful bride!
A nice, calm shot of the couples
The hubbies (and me) - once again we got seated next to the bar. Strange!
Cheers!
